Together with a NIZO expert, in a one-day-session, you will use existing models of relevant lactic acid bacteria to discover the possibilities of genome scale metabolic modelling. You will get hands-on experience in metabolic flux analysis and visualisation of gene-expression data on metabolic maps. This activity will show you how to pinpoint metabolic bottlenecks and identify genes crucial for growth on alternative substrates.
