Being a real food fan, the world behind food really fascinates me. Every day I see our experts working passionately on research projects for our clients helping them to make better foods and optimise their processes. My own passion lies in unraveling the research needs of companies and linking these to NIZO’s complimentary expertises and people. Furthermore ensuring and maintaining a smooth collaboration, ideally following the concept of open innovation, gives me a rush!
The last few years I have acted as the representative for NIZO in Kuala Lumpur with the goal to help the food and biotech industries in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand move to the next level. Before that I worked as Account Manager in bulk food ingredients. The first 5 years of my career I consulted food companies in obtaining funding for R&D projects and research consortia.
Currently I am responsible for the Fermentative Ingredient Market in Europe, being producers of enzymes, (probiotic) cultures, yeasts and flavours. I believe that especially our expertise in Bio-Informatics, Lactic Acid Bacteria, protein ingredient functionalities, flavour-texture interactions and our in vitro and human models for substantiation of health claims will help companies in this market. Furthermore NIZO’s Processing Centre offers convenient capacity for process upscaling and production of high value, low volume ingredients.
