Since I was very young I have been passionate about food. From slow food to molecular gastronomy all types of food and food preparation methods have always fascinated me.

After my study of food science & technology and after nearly twenty years in both the food & food-ingredients industry this passion has not waned. In my opinion the food industry is one of the most exciting industries to be active in, since starting from consumer insights,  developments in ingredients, processing and packaging continuously drive the industry forward to create the products the consumer desires or needs or might need in the future.

Within NIZO my responsibility is to create business propositions together with food, beverage and ingredient companies and to assist these companies in the acceleration of their innovation process.
