As a former researcher my real interest lies at the crossroads of research and production. After leaving research I worked for several years for the dairy industry as a manager of production units such as evaporated milk and cheese production.
My driver has always been not only to work hard but also to work smart and to be innovative. And of course it should be fun!
Now in my position at NIZO as manager of the Processing Centre the challenge is to find a good balance between research, production and efficiency in all the projects which take place in the Pilot Plant of NIZO food research.
That means that in each case all the creativity must be applied to create the best results in the most efficient way concerning costs, labour and output.
