Every day I realise how important food is and that I really like my work in the area of product innovations. I have over 20 years of experience in the field of food technology and more specific bakery technology, potato and vegetable processing, snacks and coatings.
I get excited if I can approach important subjects from the product angle, use science at NIZO, by leading project teams and find the right solution for our customers. Health, convenience and indulgence are in many cases the drivers for product innovations such as lowering SAFA, lowering salt, increasing fibre content, increasing crispness, freshness and so on.
In projects, I like to work closely together with my customer, share knowledge and search for the best solutions.
