NIZO is happy to announce that André van der Wulp started as Chief Operation Officer (COO) as of August 1st 2021.
André is a Dutch national and brings over 35 years’ experience in the Food industry, where he has held different senior R&D positions with various ingredients- , flavour- and FMCG companies. He got his MSc Chemical Engineering degree in 1984 at Delft University of Technology.
Andre’s last position was Regional R&D Director Europe at Cargill. In this role he was responsible for the Application- and Technical R&D service teams and the full operation of Cargill’s R&D Centre Europe, based in Vilvoorde, Belgium. Prior to joining Cargill, he worked 5 years for Quest Flavors and 16 years with Unilever, holding various R&D roles in flavors, edible fats, tea beverages and culinary.
Andre has built a strong international experience over 25 years, working in France, Brazil, China and Belgium. He has knowledge and experience in managing R&D teams, in running R&D Centre’s including managing labs and pilot plants. He has also experience in technical sales, innovation processes and managing project portfolios.
