WUR and NIZO strengthen their collaboration

Wageningen University & Research and NIZO strengthen their co-operation on Microbiomics and Host-Microbe Interactomics

The co-operation focuses on the use and translation of the newest fundamental knowledge generated by WUR HMI with NIZO’s in-house state of the art technologies towards accelerating innovation in Food and Health.

The research of the Wageningen University Host-Microbe Interactomics Group  ranges from the molecular mechanisms of diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria to the interactions between and beneficial bacteria and their human or animal hosts.

NIZO is an independent Contract Research Organization supporting Food and Health customers with the health benefits of food and interaction in the gut.

Jos Boekhorst who has recently been appointed as Senior Scientist at the WUR (Host-Microbe Interactomics, HMI) will continue to work partly with NIZO as part of the collaboration between NIZO and WUR HMI.
We congratulate Jos on his new appointment and look forward to strengthen our collaboration with the WUR HMI group
